I threw it up in the air and it had been perfect

Eagle has saved Tiger WoodsTiger Woods decided not to rate Thursday's first round at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic rather highly, but he can yet golf clubs rank his final golf hole eagle being one of his finest - particularly if it happens since the spark that re-ignites his embattled career. Soon after a mediocre round that had the World No 3 fighting all of 8 shots behind the super-hot first-round leader Rory McIlrey, five behind solid World number one, Lee Westwood, and four behind a workmanlike World number two, Martin Kaymer, Woods was looking a bit of a sorry sight. He rarely noticed his golf ball roll down from the appropriate side of the green, but a large roar from the gallery validated that it had resolved not very much more than 6 feet from the pin. Woods nailed the fairly simple golf putt for a important eagle that took him to 1-under and though it kept him 6 golf shots of the pace set by McIlroy earlier in the day, it presented him a 71 and delivered him nearly two shots behind Westwood and Kaymer and must absolutely have boosted his loose confidence sky high. He explained of the eagle: "I obtained 254 (yards) to the hole and must take something off it.
I threw it up in the air and it had been golf clubs perfect." Westwood attributed "a loss of attention" for his sloppy accomplish, despite the fact that Kaymer mentioned his round could have been "fantastic" but for his less than fortunate break on the ninth. But then just as before, you by no means may tell with Woods. He'd a patchy first day to become sure, making only one birdie as in opposition to three bogies on the 1st nine, recovering with two early birdies on the back nine, but stumbling again with a double bogey six on the par four 16th before having back under par with a 4th birdie and that incredible eagle at 18. Woods was immediately in hassle, missing par putts of under six feet on the first and fourth.
